down Memory Lane...
Photograph
Nickelback

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red?
And what the hell is on Joey's head?

This is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneakin' out

This is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must've done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it's too late
Should I go back and try to graduate
Life's better now than it was back then
If I was them, I wouldn't let me in

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say
It's time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for

It's hard to say
It's time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye

Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we'd know

We said someday we’d find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since God knows when

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say
It's time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for

It's hard to say
It's time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye

I miss that town
I miss their faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say
It's time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for

It's hard to say
It's time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye

still pissed.

since most of you wanna know what exactly happened, here goes nothing. let me start from the beginning of yesterday. didn't type it yesterday cos i knew it would have been decorated with 'fcuk's. don't mind me when i'm pissed, i can get pretty vulgur. ok, my bad. but i'm not apologising. i still would like to strangle whoever took my phone... if only i knew who.

GRADUATION CEREMONY
it was rather moving... as predicted: lotsa tears and sobbing. took photos with every single classmate. =) i'm gonna treasure them... even if it was with natalie who so nicely convince the ever-so-cameraphobic xiujuan to join in. that was nice of her. the speeches were ok i guess... lotsa memory evoking moments. i think ms leong was on the verge of tears at the end of her speech, i thought i heard her voice crack... and so did many others. lol even before the speeches were over, people were already crying.

mmm, an observation by kyna: there were quite a few phones going off in the parents area during the speeches.(misc)

after the speeches was the cert presentation ceremony, where every single person gets their testimonials, result slip and cca records. and for our class, a lil adorable snoopy badge from mrs vivian koh. haha. i still like the soccer one better weed. =S finally after all the presentations, it was time for the vids... firstly by students, secondly a motivational one for students and parents and lastly one by the teachers dedicated to the students. goodness... so many handbell pics were in. >.< including that candid one from farewell. this was a really hard part... i was trying so hard not to let my tears fall as the pics unfolded bringing with them the fun memories of past events. i was biting my tongue... it's so hard to keep my tears back. i'm one sappy girl.

then... it was the singing part, where all the sec4s get on stage to sing this year's grad theme song and sch song... for the final time. the theme song was the edited-by-mrslim-version of Against All Odds. shitty, my determination to hold my tears back only lasted 3/4 of the song. after that i couldn't control it any longer, it just started. first drop by drop then it was bucket by bucket. haha. actually i didn't know why but i was laughing and crying. ms leong started teareing during the school song! even MS POON cried!! sheesh. at the start of the song, the vol was quite loud then as each line passed more and more sec4s started tearing as they sang. lol. some behind me went off at the first stanza then soon it was my turn... i guess hazimah couldn't hold it in any longer too. so we were like crying, laughing and singing at the same time. it sucks to know that this is the last time we'll ever see each other excluding the o's, extra lessons and prom.

after the singing was over, the both of us sprinted to the toilet to collect ourselves. but i guess it didn't help much. lol. i dunno whether to laugh or cry. we were wondering how on earth we were gonna go for all the open houses with our eyes all red and puffed. when we got back to the hall, our class peeps were going around hugging each other while crying. haha. when kyna came to me with tears streaming, mine started dripping againnnnnn... after washing up. >.< i think the worst was when tracy(aka nut aka my darling/les partner xP) hugged me. we couldn't stop bawling... so we were like hugging each other real tight and crying for like 5 mins or so.. then ah ma joined. you know something? i'm actually tearing as i type this. x'( so the 3 of us were hugging each other and doing nothing but crying. haha. then darling was like "i can't stop if you don't" and it was vice versa for me. so we just kept crying. just like i said, i'm a sappy ass. that memory's gonna stick with me till i die.

when the memories come flooding back, it spares no mercy to anyone. everyone was telling ourselves to stop, but i guess it's not something that's easy to tame when the floodgates open up. at least 90% were walking around with red eyes after that. lol. i guess we're all suckers when it comes to saying goodbye. but lets face it, none of us want it to be over. after 4 years together it's feels really heart stabbing to be seperated... especially when all the memories of the pranks/jokes we played one each other and the teachers revive themselves through the deepest, darkest crevices of our mind.

then it was the vj open house. thankfully we were almost back to normal by the time we got there. i hate going out with my eyes all red and puffy. mmm, i like the vj atmosphere. they're all so ON. just like a second cedar... as in the enthusiasm level. even the nerdiest looking guys were so on and high(emotionally). it would be my first choice if i could qualify in the first place. vj rocks. the campus is damn nice too. oh and like 3/4 of the sec4s were there. lol. there were cedarians at every nook and crany.

by the time we were done walking about, my feet were killing me and i was super tired. nav and me got on 135 and we just collapsed. by the time we reached macpherson, she was nodding off and i was completely knocked out. dunno why but it takes a lot of energy outta me when i cry... and considering the time i got back from the steamboat dinner with a few of the church peeps the previous night which resulted in a really late bedtime(1.30am) and vj's campus is also huge to add. and we walked at least 2 whole rounds about the campus. i was literally dead by the time i got on the bus. but i was waiting for someone to msg me and so my phone was on my lap. with the nice aircon blowing in my face, i was just knocked out. even when nav was talking to me, it was like i could hear what she was saying but i felt as though i was unconscious... i was that tired. then nav alighted... uh.. i vaguely recall saying bye and going right back to sleep. that's was probably when i dropped my phone and some despicable asshole who obviously lacked integrity took my phone. argh. when i woke up, it was my stop and the very flustered me just grabbed my stuff and got down the bus. i know should have checked my stuff before leaving but at that time it didn't occur to me that my phone would get taken from me right under my nose. -.- that's the part i hate myself for. but i'm more disgusted by the backboneless chicken who took it.

it was only 2 stops from the amk interchange and thankfully the nice old lady from the info station was kind and patient enough to accompany me to the bus in a futile attempt to find my phone... and also lend me her phone to make a few calls. if not for her patiencec and domforting nature i think i probably would have broke down a thrid time that day. argh. that phone means A LOT to me la. even more so now that graduation's over... all my contacts... GONE... and all my pics... GONE... argh. plus that phone was only half a year old. i seriously wanna strangle that ass of a human(actually he/she is more inhuman than human.)

anw please send your contacts to amandasj89@gmail.com if you read this. thanks.

second post in a day... oops...

omg. i couldn't help not copying this from tracy's blog. one sadistic question from one of SCGS prelim paper.

"a group of mountain climbers made their way up to the peak of the mountain and camped overnight. they pitched tents and sealed themselves within the tent due to the bitter cold. in addition, they turned on a burner to keep warm within the tents. the next morning, the campers were found dead in their tents. they had not been burnt to death. explain, with details, how death had occurred.

GOSH. haha. how could anyone be so dumb =_= like that not enough oxygen for combustion can!! then carbon monoxide will form or something. at least they died a nice death i think cos louis kor told me last time when you inhale carbon monoxide and died you'll look pretty cos you'll have rosy cheeks! haha!"

lol. it would be quite interesting if this came out for Os.

some other interesting bulletins from kathleen on friendster...

Adapted from a Great Speech from Bill Gates

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the
head with this! To anyone with kids of any age,
here's some advice. Bill Gates recently gave a
speech at a High School about 11 things they did
not and will not learn in school. He talks about
how feel-good, politically correct teachings created
a generation of kids with no concept of reality and
how this concept set them up for failure in the real
world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-
esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish
something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right
out of high school. You won't be a vice-president
with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till
you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your
dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for
burger flipping : they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault,
so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from
them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't
as boring as they are now. They got that way from
paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and
listening to you talk about how cool you thought
you were. So before you save the rain forest from
the parasites of your parent's generation, try
delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with
winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some
schools, they have abolished failing grades and
they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to
get the right answer. This doesn't bear the
slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You
don't get summers off and very few employers are
interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do
that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life
people actually have to leave the coffee shop and
go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end
up working for one.

here's another one. i dunno if the dates are really accurate or not...

Ask a history teacher to explain this.....if they can.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the
White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named
Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was
born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was
born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln,
was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy,
was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

> >Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theatre named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made
by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theatre and his assassin ran
and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his
assassin ran and hid in a theatre.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their
trials.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in
Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with
Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh? xp

sorry, i couldn't resist staying offline for so long. =P

i'm back! but just for a nanosecond... haha! ok maybe a lil longer than that. whoohoo! one day to my birthdayyyyy.
-HINT! HINT! HINT! HINT! HINT!-

mmm, a lot of stuffs happened... went on a short shopping trip. OH! i found what i want for prom! i just hope it'll still be there when i do my prom shopping. and i got a new pretty wallet from espirit at half price! but i'm not using it yet... wait till my current one gets too worn out first. it's such a good deal la! 40bucks going for 19.90, considering the GSS was over donkey months ago, i didn't expect to find such good buys anymore. my eyes almost dropped out when i saw the pricetag.

went for the cj open house with my darling nut who was also late for half an hour... on the rare times that i'm early, she's late. HRM. tried out shooting. gosh, it's damn fun! i might consider joining shooting. lol.

mugged with quite a few people too. suddenly everyone wants to mug. it's quite overwhelming and a lil scary too. but it's understandable cos it's the exam season. it'll be plain freaky if it wasn't.

oh, if you've been reading the papers lately, there's quite a big fuss about blogging and the stuff people(especially youths) blog about. i really don't see what's all the commotion about. it's just kicking up a mountain out of a molehill... speaking about that, that guy who made some (IMO- in my opinion) really stupid and insensitive comments about that sindee falling from the railing case to sindee's obviously devastated mom is freaking kaypoh and definitely looking for trouble. i'm just disgusted with these kinda people who think they're qualified to rub more salt into an open wound when they know that someone is obviously already in a bad mood. (warning: stay away from me if you're such a person.i'm not the type of person who'll just sit on the pavement and whack the pavement with my wallet/bag/purse when pissed.)

ok. i'm going. time's up!

oh one more thing... MY BIG DAY'S COMING! 13 MORE DAYS. heheh. which also means that the o's are gonna start in 25 days. bummer. ok i better get back to hitting my notes and papers. won't be coming online anymore till the o's are over. so msg me if you wanna chat or ask me anything. can call too. i've got free incoming. :) ok. back to my prelim papers. ciao.
